Combining over twenty years of healthcare experience with international training and more than 18,000 hours working with clients, Sarah creates highly personalised programmes designed to support strength, mobility, posture, balance and long-term wellbeing.

Working with clients across the UK, Europe and the United States, Sarah offers private and duet online sessions together with carefully curated retreats.

Pilates and Yoga are two distinct disciplines, each offering unique strengths.

Pilates develops strength, stability, posture and efficient movement, while Yoga enhances mobility, flexibility, balance, breathing and body awareness.

Sarah's teaching combines the principles of Classical, contemporary and modern Pilates with Functional Yoga and selected movement disciplines. Rather than following one particular school of thought, every programme is thoughtfully designed around the individual, recognising that no two bodies, goals or lifestyles are ever the same.

 

The result is a highly personalised approach that supports not only the way you move, but the way you live.

MEET SARAH

Movement has shaped Sarah's life for more than four decades.

A keen sportswoman from an early age, Sarah represented her county before progressing to national-level hockey. Her love of sport sparked a lifelong fascination with how the body moves, adapts and performs, inspiring a career dedicated to helping others move with greater confidence, strength and ease.

With British and New Zealand roots, Sarah has always embraced an active, adventurous lifestyle. Her love of travel continues to take her around the world and she seeks out new experiences, whether sailing in the Ionian Islands, skiing in the Alps, trekking in the mountains, climbing, paddleboarding, playing tennis and, more recently, taking up golf.

Pilates and Yoga have provided the foundation that has enabled Sarah to continue enjoying the active lifestyle she values. They remain central to the way she lives today.

Before becoming a movement specialist, Sarah spent more than twenty years working in healthcare. Today, she is an internationally trained Pilates and Yoga teacher with over eleven years of teaching experience and more than 18,000 hours working with clients.

Her teaching combines the principles of Classical, contemporary and modern Pilates with Functional Yoga and selected movement disciplines to create highly personalised programmes that reflect each client's goals, movement experience and stage of life.

Throughout her career, Sarah has worked with clients of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to experienced movers and athletes. She has a particular interest in spinal health, shoulder rehabilitation, neurological conditions including Parkinson's disease, rehabilitation following injury or surgery, and supporting people living with autoimmune conditions.

Having experienced significant sporting injuries herself, together with living with lupus for the past twelve years, Sarah understands that recovery is rarely straightforward. These experiences continue to shape a practical, adaptable and highly individual approach to teaching that places the individual at the centre of every programme.

SESSIONS & FEES

All sessions are delivered live online, allowing you to train wherever you are in the world. Whether you're at home, travelling or living overseas, you'll receive the same individual attention and highly personalised approach as you would in person. 

For clients with Pilates equipment at home, sessions can also be taught on the Reformer and Tower. Sarah is fully trained across the complete Pilates system, allowing each programme to be tailored to the equipment you have available.

Your First Session

Your first appointment includes a 15-minute consultation followed by a 55-minute Pilates and Yoga session.

The consultation provides an opportunity to discuss your goals, movement experience, medical history and any injuries before beginning your first session.

Before your first appointment, you'll be asked to complete a Client Health Questionnaire & Waiver.​​​​​​​

Signature Annual Membership

A premium online Pilates and Yoga experience offering consistency, expert guidance and a truly personalised approach to movement. Designed for clients who want to make movement part of their lifestyle, the Signature Annual Membership provides dedicated one-to-one coaching throughout the year with flexibility to suit your schedule.

Includes an Initial Consultation & Private Session (70 minutes),

followed by one personalised 55-minute session each week for 12 months.

 

Sessions may be booked weekly or flexibly.

BOOKING & PAYMENT

Appointments are booked online using Calendly.

Payment is made securely via Stripe at the time of booking. Once your booking is confirmed, you'll automatically receive your Zoom link together with your appointment confirmation.

Appointment times are displayed in your local time zone, making it easy to train wherever you are in the world.

 

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide a minimum of 24 hours' notice. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed appointments, will be charged in full. Exceptional circumstances will always be considered at Sarah Black's discretion.

All new clients are required to complete a Client Health Questionnaire & Waiver before their first session.

Although the next retreats are currently in development, Sarah has previously hosted luxury Pilates, Yoga and Lifestyle Retreats in Mallorca.

 

Future retreats will continue this philosophy, offering intimate, small-group experiences that combine movement, wellbeing and beautiful locations.
